Please park in the parking garage below the library accessible from Adams Street. You will be able to enter the library through the garage entrance early for workshop registration. All other entrances will open at 9am or 12pm respectively. Your parking will be validated only if you park in the library garage.

Course Description:
In this interactive workshop we will discuss practical, real life solutions to typical HR issues such as:
  • Organizational compliance
  • Employee retention
  • Regulation changes
  • Compensation
  • Staff development
  • Sexual harassment laws

This workshop is designed to help Executive Directors and management staff assess their organization's human resource status.  Whether your organization is small or large, old or new, this workshop is sure to enhance awareness of what you do well and where you might need a dash of improvement.


About the Presenter:
Dave Tippett is well-known in the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan business community for his enthusiasm, training creativity and commitment to helping people work better, together.  He has a rich history as a problem solver and provider of excellent customer service over the past 23 years. 

Before coming to the Employers' Association, he worked and trained for Harbor Behavioral Healthcare.  Before Harbor, Dave was the Human Resources Director at the Ability Center of Greater Toledo for ten years. 

Dave is a graduate of the Univeristy of Toledo and holds a Professional Human Resources certification from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). 

Dave has provided training for a number of area companies and organizations, too numerous to mention. He is Past President of two area Human Resources organizations.
