Building Your Employee Handbook

Course Description:
In this workshop you will learn the essential items to include in your organization's Employee Handbook. You will also explore subjects or policies you may wish to include dependent upon your culture and organization's size. Participants will receive policy examples and language that can be modified to suit your needs. Process steps for creating, implementing/communicating and updating your Employee Handbook will also be reviewed.
About the Presenter:
Benét Rupp has over 20 years of human resource and strategic management experience in the service and manufacturing sectors. She is presently the owner of SHR Thing! - a human resource solutions company specializing in strategic human resource management and organization effectiveness. She started SHR Thing! in 2003 with breadth of knowledge and management experience in the primary functional areas of human resources - compensation, benefits, training, organizational change, employee relations, recruiting, payroll, HR technology and project management.
Benét received her Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from Bowling Green State University and Master of Business Administration from the University of Toledo. She has attained her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification through the HR Certification Institute and is also certified in Lominger's Leadership ArchitectTM.
Benét is an active member of WorldatWork, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Past President of the Toledo Area Human Resource Association (TAHRA), and she is presently serving as co-chair for the Toledo Human Resource Associations' Conference (THRAC).
