Workshop Description: Learn the very basics of Microsoft Word!! Although this is an entry level class, you will still learn tips and tricks that will help make your word processing tasks progress faster and easier. Topics covered will include: Exploring the various ribbons of Word; changing the page setup and layout for documents; entering and formatting your text; document headers and footers, and setting margins, indents and tabs. After this course, you will be able to create and print letters, reports, proposals, etc. Prerequisites: Basic computer skills; comfort with the use of a keyboard and mouse; the Microsoft Word program installed on your computer.
Target Audience: Attendees should be people who are interested in learning the very basics of the Microsoft Word 2007/2010 word processing program. Although we will cover slightly advanced topics such as setting tabs and form creation, our primary focus will be exploring the Word ribbons and learning very simple text entry and formatting. Due to the fact that this is an introductory class, it may move slowly to allow newer users more time for comprehension and practice. Prospective attendees should consult the Word 1 class outline located here: http://www.jacqconnect.us/classes/Word - 1Outline.pdf before registering to be sure this class is appropriate for them.
