Toledo Community Foundation Elects 2010 Officers, Welcomes New Trustee at Annual Meeting

TOLEDO, OHIO, March 11, 2010 - The Toledo Community Foundation Board of Trustees elected officers and welcomed one new Trustee at its annual meeting on March 9, 2010.

The 2010 elected officers are Beverly J. McBride, Chair (VP, General Counsel & Secretary, The Andersons, Inc., retired);  Mark D. Luetke, Vice Chair (President, FLS Marketing, Inc.); Geoffrey G. Meyers, Treasurer (EVP/Chief Financial Officer, HCR ManorCare, Inc., retired); and Edward McNeal, Secretary (VP, Government Relations, Dana Corporation, retired).

The Board welcomed as a new Trustee to replace a retiring board member:  Michael Anderson, Chairman and CEO, The Andersons, Inc.  Mr. Anderson was elected to serve a four-year term beginning in 2010. Richard P. Anderson retired from the Board at the end of 2009.

Mike is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Andersons, Inc. He began his career with The Andersons in 1978.  His current community activities include serving on the Board of Directors of The Andersons, Inc. and First Energy Corp. He is a Trustee and Officer of the YMCA of Greater Toledo.  He also serves on the boards of the Urban League of Greater Toledo, Kids Unlimited, and the Toledo Museum of Art. Mike serves on the Nominating & Governance Committee for the United Way of Greater Toledo, and has been a member of the Rotary Club of Toledo since 1993.

The Toledo Community Foundation, Inc. is a public charitable organization created by citizens of our community to enrich the quality of life for individuals and families in our area.  In existence since 1973, the Foundation now has nearly 500 funds with assets of approximately $135 million.  The Foundation provides philanthropic services for individuals, families, businesses and corporations to meet their charitable giving needs.
