TCF Awards Grants Totaling $61,000 from the Fran & Dick Anderson Community Support Fund
TOLEDO, OHIO, March 19, 2010 - The Board of Trustees of the Toledo Community Foundation, Inc. recently approved grants totaling $61,000 from the Fran and Dick Anderson Community Support Fund to support the operations of nine area nonprofit organizations.
The Fran and Dick Anderson Community Support Fund was established in late 2009 for the sole purpose of supporting the operations of charitable organizations that may be suffering from the recent economic downturn or other special circumstances.
Grants have been awarded to support the operations of the following organizations:
- Adopt America Network - $10,000
- Assistance Dogs of America - $5,000
- Camp Courageous - $10,000
- Double ARC - $3,000
- Family House - $10,000
- The House of Emmanuel - $5,000
- Project ABC - $3,000
- Salvation Army, Northwest Ohio Area Services - $10,000
- Servant Leadership Center - $5,000
The Toledo Community Foundation, Inc. is a public charitable organization created by citizens of our community to enrich the quality of life for individuals and families in our area. In existence since 1973, the Foundation now has nearly 500 funds with assets of approximately $135 million. The Foundation provides philanthropic services for individuals, families, businesses and corporations to meet their charitable giving needs.
