TCF Announces Belmont Country Club Scholarship Awards

TOLEDO, OHIO, July 19, 2010 - The Board of Trustees of Toledo Community Foundation, Inc. recently awarded $18,700.00 in 2010-2011 college scholarships from two Belmont Country Club Scholarship Funds of the Toledo Community Foundation.  Individual scholarship awards ranged from $700 to $3,500.

Recipients of the Belmont Country Club Employee Scholarship include (educational institution in parenthesis):  Perrysburg residents - Lyndsay Dimick (BGSU); Lisa Herman (Grove City College); Kellsey Kolanko (The Ohio State University); Nathaniel Martin (Vanderbilt University); Kelly Schardt (The Ohio State University); and Bridgette Venzel (Arizona State University); Rossford residents - Oliver Goss (BGSU); and Tyler Waclawski (BGSU).

The Belmont Country Club Employee Scholarship of the Toledo Community Foundation was established in 1996 by Club members to assist Belmont employees and/or dependents of employees in attending post-secondary institutions of their choice.

There were two recipients of the Belmont Country Club Caddy Scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year:  Perrysburg residents - Daniel Mettert (BGSU) and Joseph Snyder (Ohio University).
                                                                
Club members established the Belmont Country Club Caddy Scholarship of the Toledo Community Foundation in 1992 to provide college scholarships for caddies who do not qualify for the national Evans Scholarship Program.

Recipients of both of the Belmont scholarships may have their awards renewed for the time required to complete an undergraduate degree, so long as they continue to meet established scholarship criteria.

Applications for these Scholarships are available at Belmont Country Club, generally by mid-late March of the year they are awarded.
