TOLEDO, OHIO, September 1, 2010 - The Oswald Supporting Organization of the Toledo Community Foundation recently awarded grants totaling $106,440 to seven nonprofit organizations to support operating expenses.
Adelante, Inc. - $15,000
Adopt America Network - $10,000
Aurora Project, Inc. - $25,000
Bethany House - $11,960
Children's Resource Center - $7,480
Family & Child Abuse Prevention Center - $20,000
Women Blessing Women - $17,000
The Oswald Supporting Organization was created by Joan and the late Chuck Oswald in 2000 to support projects in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan that enable families to develop skills to nuture each other and to promote the advancement, self-sufficiency and intellectual, social, emotional and cultural growth of woman and children.
Toledo Community Foundation, Inc. is a public charitable organization created by citizens of our community to enrich the quality of life for individuals and families in our area. In existence since 1973, the Foundation now has more than 500 funds with assets of approximately $128 million. The Foundation provides philanthropic services for individuals, families, businesses and corporations to meet their charitable giving needs.
