TCF Announces Community Funds Grants Totaling $148,800

TOLEDO, OHIO, June 10, 2011 – The Board of Trustees of Toledo Community Foundation  recently approved $148,800 in grants from its Community Funds to five area nonprofit organizations. 

Grants from the Foundation’s Community Funds are considered three times annually, and are awarded to nonprofit, charitable organizations. The next deadline for receipt of proposals is September 1, 2011.

Grants were recently awarded to the following organizations:

• COMPASS – A grant of $34,800 was awarded to support treatment services. 

• Diocese of Toledo, Padua Center – A $4,000 grant was awarded to support the Emerging Young Ladies Program, which encourages young girls to reach their full potential.

• Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International – A $20,000 grant was awarded to support outreach programming for patients diagnosed with type 1 diabetes living in northwest Ohio.

• Perrysburg Heights Community Association – A grant of $40,000 was awarded to expand center programming.

• Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce Foundation – A grant of $50,000 was awarded to support the small business development program at the Regional Growth Partnership.
