Grants Announced from the Toledo Mud Hens Baseball Club's Helping Hens Fund

$27,708 in grants to seven area nonprofit organizations

The Board of Trustees of Toledo Community Foundation recently approved $27,708 in grants from the Toledo Mud Hens Baseball Club’s Helping Hens Fund to seven area nonprofit organizations. 

Grants from the Toledo Mud Hens Baseball Club’s Helping Hens Fund are made to nonprofit organizations providing sports and recreation services to youth enrolled in kindergarten through the twelfth grade.

Grants were made to:

Ballet Theatre of Toledo, Inc. – a $4,000 grant was awarded to provide eight students with ballet instruction.

Central City Ministries of the Diocese of Toledo – a $4,822 grant was awarded to provide students attending Rosary Cathedral and Queen of Apostles with sports opportunities.

International Boxing Club – a $5,000 grant was awarded to support the Boxercise Program.

Judan Judo of Toledo – a $5,000 grant was awarded to provide five youth with judo training.

The Lenawee County Education Foundation – a $2,536 grant was awarded to purchase physical education equipment that would benefit students enrolled in the Laura Haviland Program.

Monroe Street Neighborhood Center – a $3,850 grant was awarded to support the organization’s Open Gym Program.

Spina Bifida Association of Northwest Ohio – a $2,500 grant was awarded to send youth to Camp Myelo.
