Andersons Fund Supporting Organization of the Toledo Community Foundation Awards Grants

Grants Totaling $67,845 Awarded to Seven Area Nonprofits

TOLEDO, OHIO, July 5, 2013 The Andersons Fund Supporting Organization of Toledo Community Foundation recently awarded grants totaling $67,845 to seven area nonprofit organizations. 

Grants from the Andersons Fund Supporting Organization are considered once a year, and are awarded only to nonprofit, charitable organizations. Grants support organizations with programs in the areas of education, social services, physical and mental health, neighborhood and urban affairs, natural resources, and the arts. Priority consideration is given to requests related to capital projects. The deadline for receipt of proposals in the Foundation office is April 15th. 

Grants were recently awarded to the following organizations:

 4H Camp Palmer, Inc. $10,000 to support the swimming pool replacement project.

 Bittersweet, Inc. $10,000 to install a geothermal heating and cooling system in the woodshop facility.

 Boys & Girls Club of Toledo $10,000 to support the construction of a vestibule and install a video security system at the East Toledo Club.

 East Toledo Family Center $8,605 to support upgrades to the security system.

 Hospice of Northwest Ohio $7,500 to support the emergency power generator project.

 Sauder Village $10,000 to support the grist mill renovation project.

 St. Paul’s Community Center $11,740 to support upgrades to the security system.
