Grant Dollars Available to Nonprofit Organizations Supporting Healthy Communities Through Food, Clothing and Shelter Programs

ProMedica Advocacy Fund Seeking Proposals

TOLEDO, OHIO – January 4, 2016 – A Request for Proposals has been released by the ProMedica Advocacy Fund of the Toledo Community Foundation.  The ProMedica Advocacy Fund of the Toledo Community Foundation requests grant proposals from nonprofit organizations whose programs support the social determinants of health, such as food, clothing and shelter. Through a competitive process, grants will be made to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that work to meet these critical human needs in the community.  Applications will be accepted from nonprofit organizations in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, including Hillsdale, Lenawee and Monroe Counties. 
In 2016, the ProMedica Advocacy Fund is deepening its emphasis on collaborative partnerships which engage multiple agencies in addressing a common community challenge.  Priority will be given to programs that have a significant impact on the health and well-being of individuals and families. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to contact Toledo Community Foundation and speak with a program officer prior to application.
