Oswald Supporting Organization Awards Grants Totaling $115,848

TOLEDO, OHIO, May 13, 2016 - The Oswald Supporting Organization of the Toledo Community Foundation recently awarded grants totaling $115,848 to six nonprofit organizations:
  • Advocating Opportunity, Inc. – a grant of $20,000 was awarded to support legal and social advocacy services for youth victims of human trafficking.
  • Black Swamp Bird Observatory – a grant of $18,700 was awarded to support the Songbird Migration and Ecology program.
  • Center of Hope Family Services, Inc. – a grant of $17,148 was awarded to support the ELEVATE program.
  • Feed Lucas County Children, Inc. – a grant of $15,000 was awarded to support afterschool and summer meal services for children.
  • Toledo Orchestra Association, Inc. – a grant of $20,000 was awarded to support the Community Music Lessons program.
  • Zepf Community Mental Health Center – a grant of $25,000 was awarded to support the Zepf Runaway Youth Shelter program.
The Oswald Supporting Organization was created by the late Joan and Chuck Oswald in 2000 to support projects in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan that enable families to develop skills to nurture each other and to promote the advancement, self-sufficiency and intellectual, social, emotional and cultural growth of woman and children.
