TCF Awards Grants Totaling $102,604 to Nine Organizations from The Andersons Fund Supporting Organization

TOLEDO, OHIO, July 22, 2016 – The Andersons Fund Supporting Organization of Toledo Community Foundation recently awarded grants totaling $102,604 to nine nonprofit organizations.

Grants from the Andersons Fund Supporting Organization are considered once a year, and are awarded only to nonprofit, charitable organizations. Grants support organizations with programs in the areas of education, social services, physical and mental health, neighborhood and urban affairs, natural resources, and the arts. Priority consideration is given to requests related to capital projects. The deadline for receipt of proposals is April 15th.

Grants were recently awarded to the following organizations:
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Toledo, Inc. – $10,000 to replace the wheelchair lift at the Helping Hands of St. Louis soup kitchen.

Cherry Street Mission Ministries – $10,000 to support the kitchen renovation project at the Life Revitalization Center.

Cocoon Shelter – $10,000 to support the capital campaign for a new emergency facility for victims of domestic violence.

Hospice of Northwest Ohio – $5,000 to replace the diesel fuel storage tank of the emergency generator at the Toledo Hospice Center.

Sauder Village – $5,000 to construct a new agricultural exhibit space.

The Sisters of St. Francis - $30,000 to renovate the Rosary Care Center.

Toledo Botanical Garden – $10,104 to repair and replace the roofs of five buildings.

Toledo Cultural Arts Center at the Valentine Theatre – $12,500 to upgrade the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.

YMCA and JCC of Greater Toledo – $10,000 to renovate the Findley Lodge at Camp Storer.
