Toledo Community Foundation Welcomes Mike George to Staff

TOLEDO, OHIO, August 25, 2016 – Keith Burwell, president of Toledo Community Foundation, Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike George, CFRE, as the Foundation’s new Vice President, Philanthropic Services & Advancement. Mike will replace Ken Frisch, who is retiring.

“As we continue our work to improve this region and the world through philanthropy, we know that Mike will provide leadership in this effort,” said Keith. “We are fortunate to have someone with Mike’s fundraising background and experience to lead the Philanthropic Services area for our organization.”

Mike was most recently the Director of Development at Lourdes University. His prior fundraising experience includes Director of the Wood County-United Way of Greater Toledo. He has more than eight years of development experience, and most recently passed the exam and earned the distinction of a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a globally recognized credential for fundraising professionals.

Mike received a B.A. in Political Science & Public Administration from Miami University. He and his wife, Karen, reside in Perrysburg.
