TCF Awards Grants Totaling $12,000 to Support Youth Programs in Northwest Ohio

TOLEDO, OHIO, March 13, 2018 – The Board of Trustees of Toledo Community Foundation, Inc. recently approved grants totaling $12,000 from the Bill Rowles Youth Foundation Fund to support programs in northwest Ohio that enhance the lives of young people under the age of 18. Grants were awarded to seven area nonprofit organizations.

Autism Model School – a $1,500 grant was awarded to support equipment upgrades for the Star program.

Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center – a $2,992 grant was awarded to support the delivery of child abuse awareness and prevention training.

Good Grief of Northwest Ohio – a $1,704 grant was awarded to start a summer day camp for children and families who have lost a loved one.

Harvey House – a $1,704 grant was awarded to support a drop-in center that serves LGBTQ+ youth in northwest Ohio.

Leading Families Home – a $1,500 grant was awarded to support the costs of extracurricular activities for homeless children.

Redeemer Lutheran Church – a $1,500 grant was awarded to support the cost of providing meals to afterschool and summer programs.

Serenity Farm Equestrian Center – a $1,100 grant was awarded to support an equine-based experiential learning program for elementary school students with disabilities.
