Create a Fund
Four Simple Steps
With four simple steps your client can join hundreds of others who have created funds at the Foundation.
- Define your client's charitable goals. Decide if your client wants family members involved, both now and/or in the future. Consider how much involvement your client wants in selecting the charitable organizations that will receive grants from your client's fund. Think about how much your client wants to give in charitable contributions each year.
- Contact a Philanthropic Services Officer at the Foundation at 419.241.5049, Bridget@toledocf.org or Kris@toledocf.org, to discuss the fund option or options that best suit your client's interests and needs. We can create a personalized plan, including the appropriate legal and other documentation, which makes giving simple and relevant.
- Determine which asset or giving vehicle (Described on Gift Options page) your client will use to start the fund. Evaluate the options of lifetime assets versus planned giving assets - or a combination of the two.
- Select a name for your client's fund. Many donors choose a family name or a name that honors or memorializes a loved one. Perhaps the company name. The client chooses.
