TOLEDO, OHIO, November 7, 2019 – The Stranahan Supporting Organization of the Greater Toledo Community Foundation recently awarded grants totaling $364,963 to 11 organizations and initiatives:

• Aspire – A grant in the amount of $35,000 was awarded to support the general operations of Aspire, a data-driven, collective impact strategy to advance the success of Lucas County children from cradle to career.

• Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio – A grant of $25,000 was awarded to support the Reentry program.

• Habitat for Humanity – Maumee Valley – A grant in the amount of $45,000 was awarded to support the Home Repair Ministry program.

• Lucas County Sheriff’s Office Drug Abuse Response Team (D.A.R.T.) – A grant in the amount of $45,000 was awarded to support the Community Advocates Outreach Project and supportive services for addicts and their families.

• Partners for Clean Streams – A grant in the amount of $35,000 was awarded to support waterway and wetland conservation projects.

• Perrysburg Heights Community Association – A grant in the amount of $20,000 was awarded to support afterschool and summer programming.

• St. Paul’s Community Center – A grant in the amount of $50,000 was awarded to support emergency shelter and supportive housing services.

• Thomas M. Wernert Center – A grant in the amount of $25,000 was awarded to support health and wellness programming through year-round gardening experiences.

• Greater Toledo Community Foundation – A grant in the amount of $24,963 was awarded to support the Overland Solar Initiative.

• Greater Toledo Community Foundation – A grant in the amount of $15,000 was awarded to support the Pre-K Initiative.

• TutorSmart – A grant in the amount of $45,000 was awarded to support the tutoring project.
