In September, we announced the final grants from the COVID-19 Response Fund, bringing the total provided to our local nonprofits to $509,422.17 to 65 organizations across the region. See the list of grants here.
Thanks to your generosity, our Board of Trustees and staff were able to quickly deploy resources to address critical needs in vulnerable populations.
In May 2020, the Greater Toledo Community Foundation Board of Trustees approved the creation of the Community Resilience Fund to address long-term recovery efforts of individuals and organizations as a result of the COVID outbreak. GTCF has seeded the fund with $200,000. The fund was designed to thoughtfully deploy resources to (1) community-based organizations providing services that assist residents in stabilizing their lives after experiencing impacts caused by the outbreak, and (2) organizations restructuring their service delivery and agency operations based on lessons learned from the coronavirus pandemic.
The first of three rounds of grants were announced in September, 2020 and a second round of grants were announced on October 15, 2020. The final rounds of Community Resilience Fund grants was announced December 14, 2020. A total of $247,824 was awarded through this fund to 23 nonprofit organizations. See the press releases below.
