TOLEDO, OH – August 3, 2020 – Keith Burwell, president of Greater Toledo Community Foundation, announced today that all upcoming workshops offered to nonprofit organizations through The Center for Nonprofit Resources will be offered at no cost through the end of 2020.

The Center for Nonprofit Resources helps nonprofit organizations advance their missions through expert guidance and a wide array of services, training and educational opportunities. Services offered by The Center include professional development, technical assistance, on-demand resources and engagement. It was announced previously, due to the COVID pandemic, that The Center was suspending all in person meetings and workshops until further notice.

“From this point on through the end of this year, our workshops have been rescheduled in an online format at no cost to attendees,” stated Heather Bradley, director, The Center for Nonprofit Resources. “Adjustments are also being made to ensure access to other services offered by The Center, of course taking into consideration social distancing requirements. We are assessing options for 2021 to ensure those supporting area nonprofits can continue their professional development and access the support and tools needed to pivot their operations.

“This is our gift to the nonprofit organizations operating in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan,” stated Keith. “Bringing quality training programs to these organizations is critical to their growth and success. The Foundation is investing in The Center so nonprofits can invest in themselves through education and professional development,” Keith continued. “This year has been an anomaly, and we’re trying to be creative in the ways we offer our support. The beauty of this offer is that cost is no longer a barrier for these organizations to advance their skills and knowledge,” he concluded.
