TCF Announces Special 2014 Water Crisis Grant Funding Opportunity

TOLEDO, OHIO, August 5, 2014 – The Board of Trustees of the Toledo Community Foundation has decided to release a special funding opportunity to assist area nonprofit organizations that provided unanticipated services to residents affected by the water advisory issued by the City of Toledo from August 2 to August 4, 2014.
“This past weekend, many in our nonprofit community mobilized volunteers, worked overtime, and diverted supplies and funds marked for other uses to provide aid during a time of crisis. We are grateful for their service and generosity, said Keith Burwell, president of Toledo Community Foundation.”
This one-time funding opportunity is now available to area nonprofit organizations via the Toledo Community Foundation website, www.toledocf.org.  Applications for this opportunity will be accepted online through midnight September 2, 2014.  Organizations considering applying may contact Toledo Community Foundation at 419.241.5049 with questions.
