Recommendations from the Lucas County Head Start Task Force

Federal legislation aimed at improving Head Start quality resulted in notification in December 2011 to the Lucas County Head Start provider and 131 other grantees that they must re-compete for their Head Start grants. Interest by local stakeholders in a collaborative and successful grant application led to the assembly of a “Lucas County Head Start Task Force,” charged with researching effective Head Start models and sharing its findings with stakeholders.

2012 Capacity Building Workshops

In 2012, The Center for Nonprofit Resources is implementing a fee structure for the capacity building workshops it offers.  Based on an evaluation of workshops over the past few years and recent survey of our nonprofit community, The Center has learned that there is inherent value in something that has even a minimal cost.  Workshops have been carefully selected and are presented by renowned and experienced speakers.  We hope that as nonprofit staff, board members and volunteers you will find educational opportunities that will benefit your professional growth as well as the growth of your organization.  Fees for each workshop are nominal and based on the complexity of the workshop offerings, speaker engaged and location.

Online registration for all workshops is open.  You can access the workshops here:  http://www.toledocf.org/main/workshops-seminars/ or organized by date via our calendar function - click here
